Received a call but it seems they didn't bother to leave a voicemail.

The caller had a manner of speaking that made it seem as if we were acquainted, even using my first name, which caught me by surprise. It put me in a bit of a dilemma, as I was reluctant to terminate the call on what felt like a “friend”. I promptly inquired if this was a marketing call, and after some hesitation, she confirmed it was. I let her know I was tied up and ended the conversation. It’s quite disconcerting when someone addresses you by your first name like that!

Just like the previous person mentioned, I’ve gone ahead and blocked more than six London numbers now. Most of them seemed linked to Bitcoin scams, as I actually had a chat with one of the callers who mentioned that my number had been passed around to various agents. This one’s the first mobile number I’ve dealt with, though!

Today, I received a call from that same number again. The person on the other end seemed familiar with my first name and repeatedly claimed to be Kenny Rogers. It got a bit strange, so I decided to hang up and block the number!

Seems like I've stumbled upon a potential scam... this mysterious number rang but didn’t bother leaving a message. Ever since I looked into that Bitcoin nonsense a couple of years back, I keep getting calls from various mobile numbers. I opted out of the whole thing, but it appears my number has somehow been passed around like a hot potato. It's getting ridiculous now - I find myself constantly blocking these pesky numbers all day long!
