My dad got a text from this number saying that I had switched to it. Since he’s well into his 80s, he phoned straight away. Then another message came through saying the number can’t take voice calls, only texts. I rang my parents, got the full story and told them to block it right away after reading the warnings here before. Thanks a lot to everyone for the heads-up...

Good thing I blocked the number early, they were starting to get a bit pushy with their questions.

I got a WhatsApp text too, where someone called me 'Dad' and said they'd changed their number. Saw someone else mention this kind of message before, which made me realise it was a scam. Cheers to that person for sharing their experience!

I got scammed by this number and ended up losing quite a bit of cash. It kicked off with a message claiming to be my son saying he'd changed his phone and his bank account was frozen. They asked me to cover some bills, and I naively went along with it. This number kept pestering me nonstop for three days afterwards. Seriously, don’t make the same mistake I did!
