Got a call from 01226 080608 telling me I’d been in an accident. I just ended the call and put them straight on block.

She claimed to be from BT's call blocking team and asked if I was still bothered by unwanted calls. Then she mentioned they're working hard to fix the problem but need more time. After that, she read out all my personal info correctly, which seemed suspicious. She then asked for my debit card details, saying it was needed for the service and I should have my card nearby. When I questioned what company she was with, she just hung up. She had an accent but spoke proper English and seemed legit at first, but the moment she asked for card info, I knew something was off. Total scam!

Got a call from an Asian woman whose English wasn't great, claiming I qualified for a free boiler and insulation via some government scheme. I reckon they wanted my details so I asked how they planned to add insulation to our walls and mentioned our boiler was under 2 years old (not true, just to see). She kept trying to get info though, so I told her she was talking rubbish and ended the call. I can't help but think there might have been a dodgy translation going on there.

This number rang me a couple of times today, and when I picked up a lady just said "You're going to die" and then hung up. It was definitely a womans voice. I tried ringing back on both my phone and my landline but it said the number wasnt valid. Strange!

Just had a ring from this number, a lady with a funny accent claimed to be from some green energy firm and asked how I was. I told her I’m alright and mentioned I’d gotten calls from a mobile before, which turned out to be a call centre. So, I did the same to her and hit the button on my call blocker 😂😂😂
