Got a couple of calls today and yesterday from someone saying they were Emma Kirkby representing Doors & Windows Ltd. Didn’t ask for me, just a random cold call.

Had a call from someone claiming to be with BT saying they needed to check my broadband speed due to the switch off of landlines. I told them I had to dash to an appointment but they didn't seem to care and just kept on. It felt like a scam to me - there’s no way they’re calling every single customer to do this test over the phone. After a bit of back and forth, I finally managed to get them to hang up by mentioning my appointment again, which was genuine. They said they'd ring me back but honestly, they don’t need to waste their time.
