Got a message on my husband's phone from someone saying "hi dad, this is my new number." They also mentioned it was his eldest child and even included their birthday. Quite strange!

This number tried pulling a scam on me recently. The caller said, "Hi Dad, this is my new number." I played along just to see how long before they'd ask for money. I even said I’d call them back, but apparently, they couldn’t pick up because they were "installing a backup file." Next came the banking stuff, which actually sounded pretty convincing. They said the two-factor code had been sent to my old phone number. Then, as expected, they asked if I could pay a couple of bills for them, promising I’d get the money back by Monday. Pretty dodgy if you ask me!

Got a message from this number saying, ‘Hi dad, this is my new number.’ Totally feels like a scam to me. Right before that, I got a call from 01841 725302 about some sort of survey, which I’m guessing is dodgy after seeing people mention it here. Definitely suspicious!
