Some bloke rang me from what sounded like a green energy company, had my name and where I live. He started off talking about some government scheme for insulation that we don’t even have. Then he asked about what kind of insulation’s in the loft and walls, and tried to say there could be bacteria in the house because of it, especially with this covid thing going around. He mentioned they were doing ‘free surveys’ nearby the next day. I just hung up straight away after that.

Got three calls from this number, answered every time but all I heard was silence before it just cut off. Feels like yet another dodgy scam to me.

They claimed they got our details from a government insulation scheme (which sounds dodgy to me). They were pushing a free survey because apparently the government is handing out grants now. The thing is, it’s for spray-on loft insulation. I heard a similar firm not far from Bournemouth got busted, with the bosses sent down for fraud. Sounds like a total con to me, especially since we’re registered with TPS and they just ignored that.

I got a call from someone saying they were part of the local conservation team, telling me the stuff in my cavity walls wasn’t allowed anymore. They wanted to book a survey with me, but it all sounded a bit dodgy. When I asked for more details about the company, the line just went dead.

Got a call about some insulation check as part of this green deal or something like that. Pretty sure it’s just a sneaky way to get you hooked into buying unnecessary stuff after they claim there’s issues. Best just to hang up and not bother with it.

Some woman called, wanted to talk to my other half, but I hadn’t even got a word in yet. As soon as I said it wasn’t them, she just ended the call. Honestly, maybe that’s for the best.

Got a call from some so-called Green Deal roof insulation person. They already had my full name and mobile number, which was creepy. When I wasn’t interested and gave them a piece of my mind, they acted all offended, but then started just making things up to get out of it. Total scam if you ask me.
