Got a text saying something about a tax refund from HMRC, said not to click on the link in it. Definitely seemed dodgy to me.

Got a text from 07434390849 saying I could ‘Claim a tax refund’ with a link to [#]check-rebateonline[###]. The site looks pretty official, like something HMRC might send, but the web address isn’t actually HMRC’s! They ask for stuff like your personal details to ‘verify’ your info and worst of all, your card details so they can supposedly send the refund. Definitely dodgy, watch out!

Looks like one of those HMRC scams to me, trying to lure you in by saying you can claim a tax rebate.

Got a call claiming HMRC was about to give me a tax rebate but it sounded fishy. They kept telling me I had some money waiting, but something didn’t add up. Pretty sure it was just another one of those scams trying to grab your info. Watch out everyone, don’t fall for it!
