Got a text claiming my parcel was delayed, supposedly from Evri. The links they sent took me to some dodgy site pretending to be Evri where they asked for my address, then another link that somehow led to the US Postal Service website on Google maps. Definitely a scam!

Some bloke called "Mr cheeky" messaged me on WhatsApp after I shared a photo of my prom dress. I've had loads of missed calls from him at all sorts of times. When I asked why he kept calling, he just said stuff like "pick up" and "I was so turned on." Heads up! Just before midnight, I noticed two missed video calls. Then a guy calling himself "James" rang and actually knew my name, asking if I was alright. I messaged him asking who he was, and he said he was at work. Next thing, he tried video calling me again. The number wasn’t saved in my phone, but it showed up as “Mr Cheeky.” This all happened some time after I'd posted something on Gumtree… Seriously, block this number!

Got a WhatsApp saying "hey babe how you doin?" I asked who it was and they said "Jai". Told them I have no clue who they are and we've never chatted before, but he kept insisting "yeah we have. You wear 38dd?" While I was trying to block him, he went ahead and sent a couple pics, one was completely naked. Total creeper without a doubt.

I was chatting with this bloke named Lee on a dating app and we swapped numbers. When I checked his WhatsApp, his profile looked a bit dodgy and he said he'd had some issues with his phone. I decided to trust him. Then he ringed me but spoke so softly, I wasn’t sure if he had an accent or not. Something still didn’t sit right, so I looked up his number here and was gobsmacked to find over 600 bad reviews. From what I read, it really was the same person. Ladies, be careful when you’re on dating sites. I thought it was all too good to be true and I’m glad I listened to my instincts.

This ‘James’ kept ringing me just after midnight, trying to get me to hear him messing about with himself. I wasn’t having any of it and told him straight to jog on, then blocked the numpty right away. The weird calls came only a few hours after I posted something on Gumtree UK. Proper wally, that one! Honestly, what a muppet.

He somehow knew my name and kept texting and ringing me late at night, but I never picked up. He never told me who he was either. I’d just put up a Gumtree ad, so I’m guessing that’s how he found my number and name.
