Got three missed calls from a number starting with 07432, but didn’t pick up. Then I received an email from some company named Wyndam, which someone else mentioned in a previous comment here. The email claim says I owe them about £4,000. Pretty sure that’s not right!

Got a woman calling with a Yorkshire accent, saying she needed some info to sort out a tax refund. I just ended the call straight away.

Got another scammer ringing me up.

I just got a call from someone claiming to be from the Windham Group, said I was overtaxed before and that they cooperate with HMRC - they even knew my name. I told them I’d rather get in touch with HMRC on my own, cheers. The bloke was quite polite and courteous though. If I could, I’d definitely label this as “be wary” or something like that.

The caller sounded like they knew who I was and even asked how I was doing. I answered cheerfully and tried to turn up the volume to catch everything properly. I might have accidentally hit the end call button though, coz the line went dead. The man mentioned something about the Wyndham or Windham group giving me a ring. Didn’t get any return calls after that.

I picked up but didn’t say a word, and then this automated message popped up saying sorry I couldn’t get through to their service today! Sounds like some sort of scam to me.
