Just like others have mentioned, I got a message saying that an E Moore was added as a new payee on my HSBC account - problem is, I don’t even have an HSBC account! Pretty clear that it’s a scam. Whatever you do, don’t tap on any links in those messages.

Got a message from 07432 208303 saying someone called E MOORE was added as a new payee from a device they said wasn’t registered. They told me to click a link if it wasn’t me. Problem is, I don’t even have an account with HSBC, so I ignored the link completely. Pretty clear this is just a scam trying to trick people!

Got a text from +44 7432 208303 pretending to be HSBC, saying a new payee was added to my “account”. They put a link in the message telling me to click if I didn’t make the change. Thing is, I don’t even have an HSBC account, but the message really looked like something a bank would send. Just watch out for stuff like this!
