Got a text about Lloyds saying I needed to add a new payee, which was odd because I'd literally done that recently for a Lloyds account. Felt a bit iffy about it, so I blocked the number straight away and flagged it as a scam. I also reached out to my own bank, not Lloyds, but they said there wasn't much they could do. Bit worrying really.

Whenever Lloyds sends a message about a new payment I didn’t set up, they mention numbers you can ring to sort it out. My advice? Just block the caller, get rid of the text, and absolutely don’t tap on any links. Better safe than sorry!

I got this message after ordering from Shein: Lloyds says a new payment has been arranged with a new payee. It told me if I didn’t set it up, to go to: [#]payeed-device.cc. I rang Lloyds straight away and they confirmed it’s a scam!!

Got a message saying something about Lloyds: that a new payee was added to my account or something. It told me to check it out at some weird link like [#]payeed-device.cc. Obviously a total scam since I don’t even have a Lloyds account. Be careful and don’t bother clicking on any links if you get a message like this!

Got a message from 'Lloyds' saying a payment was set up with a new payee. It included a link to [#]reregister-device.cc, which seemed really dodgy. Definitely not clicking on that, but maybe the police should check it out.
