He said his name was Patrick Stokes and claimed that someone had taken his wife’s bag, which had all their cash and passports inside. He was asking for some cash to help get him, his wife, and their kids back home to Castleberg. He mentioned he was driving a blue Ford Transit with the plate VUI 611. We actually gave him some money on the 2nd of July, but he never paid us back...

A bloke called himself Patrick Stockes. He said someone had broken into his caravan in Amsterdam and nicked his wallet. Then he asked me for some cash so he could get back home to his wife and four kids, travelling through Calais. I ran into him at the TOTAL on the E19 in Belgium.
