I received a call on my mobile at precisely 09:53 on the 10th of March, 2023. The message was concerning a supposed transaction of £900 on my Visa card. It urged me to press 1 immediately if I hadn’t authorised it. Having set up multiple security measures for my bank transactions, I recognised right away that it was a scam. I’m taking the time to report this incident so that others, especially vulnerable individuals like my mum, don’t fall into the trap of pressing that button.
