When challenged, they hung up and called back with another person denying the first had called. Multiple users found it suspicious and blocked the number immediately.

Got a call at about 11 in the morning from a woman with a strange accent claiming she was from Openreach. She said there was an issue with my address even though I told her I’m not a BT customer. When I insisted everything was fine and she wasn’t actually from BT, she just ended the call. She tried ringing again, and this time an older lady answered. I mentioned she had just called me but she denied it and said I must have dialled the wrong number. Feels like a dodgy scam to me. I've blocked the number now.
