Earlier today, we received a text that read: "Free Message: Urgent! Our records show that you could be owed £3,800 due to Mis-sold Loan Insurance (PPI). If you wish to claim, simply reply Yes to this message. Cheers!" It was sent to our work phone, and I'm quite baffled as to how they got hold of this number. Just a heads-up to everyone to stay vigilant!

I received the same message, but I've never had PPI in the first place. It’s either a dodgy scam or some claims company trying to fleece unsuspecting folks for cash!

Which mobile network does this number belong to? This definitely needs to be flagged and thoroughly looked into. I'm absolutely livid! I'm usually quite vigilant about sharing my mobile number, so how on earth did a spammer manage to obtain it? What else should we brace ourselves for in the future?
