I got a call from someone claiming to be with BT, saying there was an issue with my internet. Shockingly, she already knew my full name, address, postcode, and even my mobile number! She sent me a text with a one-time code and asked me to confirm it to check my router details. I refused and told her straight up it sounded like a scam, then ended the call. I’m planning to ring my provider to confirm everything’s okay. What really puzzles me is how they managed to get hold of so much of my personal info in the first place?
