I just received a call purporting to be from BT, but honestly, the voice was so obscured that I couldn't tell whether it was a man or woman. Just yesterday, I had a dodgy call claiming that someone unknown was using my broadband, which raised my suspicions, so I decided to play along briefly. When I challenged both today's and yesterday's callers, I realised that genuine BT representatives do not ring you out of the blue. I found this out after reporting the incident to BT themselves. In the end, I simply hung up the phone.
