When I picked up, I jokingly said "scam centre", then after a moment, a recorded woman with a northern accent introduced herself as Emily, saying she was the local energy advisor. She asked if I owned the house. I queried how she managed to call me since my number's on the Telephone Preference Service list. After a brief pause, she replied that they source contacts from a marketing database. I tried to mention the TPS again but was cut off with her asking if I could hear her. Then suddenly, the call just dropped on her side.
