SCAM ALERT - I got a call today just after 12.45 pm from someone claiming to be Peter James from HMRC Tax Fraud. He said there was an arrest warrant against me for unpaid tax between 2016 and 2018. He gave me an ID number 98560LR, a Case Number 892241761 and a Warrant ID 2481965. He insisted I pay £1,997 straight away over the phone. The call came from a Vodafone number, somewhere around Birmingham. I checked with the police, and there’s no such warrant. This is a nasty scam trying to scare people. Please don’t engage with these creeps and make sure you block them!!
