This morning, I received a WhatsApp call from someone called Elle, who was rather keen on asking for some cash to cover her petrol expenses so she could make her way to see me. She was showering me with sweet messages, attempting to woo me in rather a flirtatious manner. It's clearly a con!

This person acted like they hadn’t reached out before, but they actually sent “loving texts” to try and get close to my Dad, who’s no longer with us.

A woman called Elle reached out to me on WhatsApp claiming she'd be coming over and asking for money before hand. She kept saying she needed help with overdrafts and petrol money to get here. She gave me bank details under the name Hayley Petty to send the cash. Turns out she was a proper con artist, really fooled me.
