Looks like a total con to me - got a message from some mobile number about a ‘final notice’ for a £300 Winter Heating Allowance, telling me to apply via some dodgy link https://qrco.de/bfk8GO?iMC=sVztoozWdg. Legit applications would only ever be done through a gov.uk site, so this has scam written all over it. Probably aiming at older folks who might be less tech-savvy and easy to trick out of their cash. Why can’t these scams be shut down for good? It’s always the vulnerable ones that end up falling for these things.
