So yesterday I got a call from someone claiming to be from a credit check service. I said I wasn’t interested, and to my surprise, the person basically told me to f#ck off. They said my photo was everywhere or something, which really threw me. When I tried to call the number back, it turned out to be Tesco’s mobile messaging line. Honestly, these people need to show a bit more respect, or they might get an unexpected reaction from others too.

I reckon Tesco’s mixed up in this too. Just the same, I got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent who started off real polite. But then I bombarded him with loads of questions before I’d even say anything, and he got proper annoyed and just hung up on me. Whenever someone sounds like they’re just half-arsing it, chances are it’s a scam. Best to grill them first before you let anything slip. Feels like Tesco’s taking the mick out of all of us.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying he’s from Manchester Citizens Advice. He told me he could send some government-supported info pack about a deal to help with debt consolidation. Thing is, I aint even got any debts! Still, I humoured him for a bit, but it worried me how he already had my full name, address and number. I told him I wasn’t up for it and he was quite polite, but now I’m sure it was a scam.

I got a call from a bloke claiming he was Freddie from the Citizen Advice Bureau, talking about my supposed debts. I told him I didn’t owe anything. Sounded like an Indian guy to me. Total scam - watch out!

Got a call from someone claiming I owed unsecured debts and that they were from the Financial Conduct Authority, saying they could help sort it all out. Definitely sounded dodgy. I made sure to get as much detail as I could, then reported it straight to the FCA. Watch out for this kind of scam!
