Got a text saying something like "Hey mum, I'm using a mate's phone cause I've smashed mine and their battery’s dying. Can you ping me on WhatsApp when you get this, 07424589281"? It's definitely a scam, so don’t reply or message them at all.

Someone told me to whatsapp this number, but the message actually came from a completely different number 07564806055, which I've already reported. The text said something like, "Hey mum, I'm using a mate's phone because I've broken mine and their battery's running low. Can you message me on whatsapp at 07424589281 when you get this?" I haven’t responded to any of these numbers.

Got a text claiming to be from my daughter but the number it came from, 07593116664, isn’t familiar at all. I didn’t bother replying as it seemed a bit iffy, and now I’m quite worried about who it actually was.
