Got a call claiming to be from Visa about some dodgy transaction on my account. I rang my bank straight away and they said it wasn’t true. Seems like a scam to me.

I got a random call from someone claiming my phone was broken and asked me to send them money to fix it. I have no idea who they were and it felt really dodgy. Definitely didn’t give them anything and hung up pretty quick! Sounds like a scam to me.

I got a message on WhatsApp from what looked like one of my kids, saying their phone was broken and this was their new number (it was 07423 799588). They then asked me to sort out a bill that apparently was overdue, even sending over bank details with a sort code and account number. I nearly paid it, but thankfully I held off. When I finally got back home to chat to my kids, the amount they wanted was over £2000, and by then the bank info had vanished. Dodged a bullet there!
