This number seems dodgy. They pretend to be from a real Scottish government scheme called Warmer Homes Scotland, but I reckon they’re just trying to get your info to push double-glazing sales. Watch out!

I got a call from someone saying they were with VEKA windows. They told me to visit this site: veka[###][###], but the site isn’t real. I found an actual Veka recycling firm and gave them a ring - they confirmed they don’t make cold calls. The helpful woman there even gave me the name of the local rep and said if the caller wasn’t that person, then it’s definitely not them. Seems like whoever’s doing this scam has done their homework!

Super pushy, even after I said there’s no chance I’m changing my windows or doors. I received a rather unexpected phone call from someone who requested to speak to my mother directly. When I probed for the identity of the caller, a woman with a thick Scottish accent introduced herself as representing something that sounded like the "Decka Group" or perhaps the "Deka Group." Upon asking the purpose of her call, she cryptically described it as an 'information call,' which rather quickly revealed itself to be related to energy efficiency. As it turned out, they were pushing for window replacements! When I clarified that I wasn't the property holder, she responded by saying she'd ring back. I firmly told her, 'That won't be happening, as I’m lodging a complaint with The Telephone Preference Service.' She had quite the nerve to respond with a cheeky 'Oh yes, I will!' before abruptly hanging up.

Got a call from a Scottish bloke claiming to sell doors and windows. He'd somehow picked up my number off some survey I'd done. When I told him he was talking rubbish and that he’d got the wrong info since I’m not a homeowner, he started arguing and then just hung up. The number he called from is with Vodafone. I reported it to them and they’re looking into it, might even cancel the contract. I reckon these scammers switch numbers or companies to keep going, so if you get something similar, report it! We all need to stop these dodgy calls pestering people.

Got a call from a bloke with a Scottish accent about some window scrappage thing. He was quite polite, but I cut him off just as nicely and told him I’m on the TPS, so he shouldn’t be ringing me. He said sorry and ended the call fairly quickly. I’ve now added BT call protect on top of TPS and blocked the number anyway. These nuisance calls are just that, a right pain in the neck.

I've seen plenty of bad reviews about this number on other sites. At best, it's an annoying nuisance call, but really it's just a scam. They try to fish for your bank info and details about your benefits. The caller uses a mobile number that seems to be auto-dialled through some online system, so blocking them is nearly impossible. A guy with a Scottish accent called me and was surprisingly polite, even apologised after I let him go on for a bit. I told him straight away that I’m registered with the TPS and he shouldn’t be calling me. To be honest, he was quite courteous and sorry about it. However, it sounds like not everyone else has had such a pleasant experience with these calls.
