Today at precisely 14:01, my phone rang. It was an automated message claiming that a sum of £1500 had been requested by Amazon for an iPhone 15. The robotic voice instructed me to press 1 if I wished to be connected to Amazon. When I did, a woman with an Indian or Pakistani accent picked up and asked how she could assist me. I simply responded, “You’re the one that called me.” She then replied, “Ah yes, it appears you’ve made a significant purchase from Amazon.” At that moment, I asked her to hold for just a second. I quickly ran through my various account apps on my phone to check for any unusual activity. There was nothing out of the ordinary. Returning to the call, I said, “Right, can I help you?” To which she retorted, “What are you doing?” I mirrored her question, replying, “What are you doing?” At that point, they hung up on me. Quite the cheek!

I usually just let calls go to voicemail since I get loads of scam calls. This number called me but didn’t bother to leave any message. Looking at what others have said about it, it’s clear I wasn’t missing out on anything important!

This number just rang me up with some recorded lady’s voice claiming there was a £900 transaction on my Visa card. She said if I didn’t make the purchase, I should press 1 to cancel it. Definitely one of those scams!

I got a call from this number, and a robotic voice said something about weird activity on my bank card. It told me to press 1 or 2, depending if I believed it was real. It wasn’t really clear who was calling or which card they meant. I just hung up.

I had a rather concerning phone call from someone purporting to be with Amazon Prime. They stated that there was a subscription request associated with my name, although I had never initiated anything of the sort. It quickly became clear that this was nothing more than a scam attempt.

Today my landline rang from this number but I chose not to pick up since it wasn’t familiar. Later, a woman’s voice left a message claiming I’d supposedly signed up for a £95 subscription and told me to press any key to cancel before being charged. It gave me a bit of a fright initially, but it’s plainly a dodgy trick because I have no idea what that’s about. Such a sneaky tactic! I’m definitely going to block and report them. I never expected they’d even bother leaving a voicemail. Be careful folks and don’t engage with this number!

Got a call from a really nice sounding young woman who said I’d been billed £99 on my Amazon Prime for subscription renewal. She said to press any button to speak to someone and sort it out... problem is, I don’t even have an Amazon account! These scam calls are back again, even though that smart chap Rav and the BBC team have been cracking down loads on them. It’s proper annoying how so many dodgy people still slip through. Luckily, I wasn’t caught out this time!

I received a recorded message claiming that there were two suspicious transactions linked to my account-one for £700 and the other for £2000. There was no bank name mentioned at all. They instructed me to press one to continue or two to speak to a representative. Not a chance! It's outrageous how these fraudsters operate; they should be locked up without a second thought!

Got a call from 07423 338422 with exactly the same recorded message as 01224 713368. They reckoned using BT Internet means you're breaking the law and threatened to cut you off. Honestly, it’s pretty harsh and I can see how folks might get really scared by these awful callers.
