I got a call earlier today with a robotic voice saying £1000 had been charged on Amazon, plus another bill of around £400 from a different firm. The message told me to press 1 if I accepted the payment or 2 to speak to a person if it wasn’t me. They didn’t say anything about a bank or business details. It felt like the old scams about owing tax and cops coming to arrest you if you didn't pay up straight away.
