I got a call from a woman speaking with a thick Indian accent claiming to be from Amazon about some unusual activity on my account. I told her I’d look into it myself and reach out to Amazon customer support if needed. She insisted she could sort it out right away, no need for me to do anything. When I kept saying I’d prefer to check first and call Amazon directly if I noticed anything suspicious, she quickly got hostile and started trying to intimidate me. Once she saw I wasn’t backing down, she hung up.
