Like others have said, this was a scam. They told me I’d added a payee to a Lloyds bank account, but I’ve never even had an account with Lloyds. Total rubbish!

Got a dodgy message from Lloyds saying I'd added some new payee called Mr C Lowell. It told me to click a link if I hadn’t done it. Obviously didn’t trust it, so I blocked the number and deleted the message straight away.

Got a text saying I’d added a new payee to my Halifax account, but here’s the thing - I don’t even have a Halifax account! Never have for that matter. Definitely didn’t add any payees anywhere. Seems dodgy to me.

Got a dodgy message claiming "lloyds alert. you added a new recipient mr c lowell on 19.02.21 at 23.52. if this wasnt you block the payee here” with a little box to press called "block payee." Problem is, I don’t even have an account with lloyds. Just blocked the number and chucked out the message straight away.
