I GOT A POP-UP CLAIMING TO BE MICROSOFT TELLING ME MY PC HAD TROJAN MALWARE. It looked pretty real and wouldn’t go away, so I checked the number they gave, which was unfamiliar. Knowing Microsoft never leaves phone numbers like that, I completely shut down my computer and froze my bank accounts just in case. I then rang the number and was greeted by a foreign accent, saying I should click on something on my screen so they could guide me through fixing it with my keyboard. Honestly, I think this was a dodgy scam and I’d say everyone should just turn off their computer and run a virus scan later on. Stay safe out there!
