It happened to me as well today, 28th April 2023! Can’t believe it!

Received a call that started with +44. I chose not to pick up, and unsurprisingly, they didn’t leave a voicemail. I’m quite adamant about not responding to these sorts of calls; I simply block them as they’re often just sales pitches. If you engage even once, it seems they’ll harass you endlessly from different numbers!

Got a text from this number saying it was from the post office, sent me to a site https:/post office-depot38.com. The website looked real but then asked for my bank info for redelivery. I didn’t share anything since it seemed dodgy. The site’s pretty clever at faking it though, hope someone looks into it soon. Cheers!

Got a call from a lady with a heavy accent and pretty poor English, saying she was calling on behalf of Expert Savers. Just ended the call and put the number on block.

Someone rang me pretending to be from the council’s complaints review unit. They knew my full phone number, address and postcode, and started asking about problems with black mould and my tenancy. Thing is, I’m not even a tenant! They sounded really sure I’d made a complaint to the council in the past couple of years - which I have, but it was about something totally different. Definitely feels like a scam to me!

This isn't Specsavers at all; it's actually some sort of trading firm-Global Index Solutions, I believe, but that's surely a dodgy name. They're just out to peddle their wares to unsuspecting folks.

The caller claimed to be from Specsavers and immediately started asking me about my job and age range without even checking who they were talking to first. I flipped it around and asked what their call was about, and then they just ended the call on me!

This week alone I’ve been rattled by 11 scam calls, and this one made it 12. Every time, there’s this awkward silence right after I pick up, with noisy chatter in the background and accents that sound Asian. I reckon I need to just keep ignoring calls from unknown numbers. Maybe I should take a leaf out of my neighbour’s book and blow a whistle down the phone next time!

Got a ring from Global Index Options trying to pitch some shares with promises of returns around 10-15%. Honestly, I'd say steer clear and don’t bother with it.
