So there was this bloke, Eric, ringing up about some debts supposedly owed by me. Took ages for him to wrap his head around the fact I don’t actually owe anything at all.

This consumer support group seems to have got hold of my details from Scottish Power through some dodgy channel. It really came across as a scam to me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with a debt advice group? They said a “creditor company” asked them to get in touch but wouldn’t say which one exactly, then tried to ask if I had any debts and how much I owed. It all felt quite dodgy, so I just told them I wasn’t comfortable talking about money stuff on the phone and ended the call.
