The person on the other end clearly didn’t speak English well, so not sure if they’re local or abroad. They said something about a PPI claim from ages ago, which is rubbish as I’ve never made one. They knew my first name but nothing else, and never verified if it was really me. She had my old postcode but knew I'd moved, so wanted my new one. When she asked when would be a good time to call again, I just said “no need.” I then texted her saying her number is reported to the police as a scam and blocked it. The number doesn’t pick up and Companies House shows the business is inactive. They then tried to charge me £200 for a certificate to release the cheque.
