Some woman rang me up, claiming I had given her my number before. She wouldn't take it off her list, saying I had supposedly agreed to it, but I know I never did.

Got a random call the other day, my phone flagged it as spam automatically. The bloke on the line spoke with a south Asian accent and said his name was ‘Danie’ - sounded a bit dodgy. He claimed to be ringing from some ‘car accident bureau’, trying to warn me about a car crash I supposedly had recently. Complete nonsense, I’ve had no accidents at all. Total ambulance chaser stuff. Just ended the call straight away and blocked the number. Best to stay clear of these scams.

So a guy calling himself Christian, which pretty sure wasn’t his real name, called me earlier. His accent was super thick - something like Asian or Indian - and he was speaking so quickly I had to ask him to slow down. He claimed to be from some accident helpline, saying there had been a car crash involving me or someone from my family. I asked him for the company registration number so I could verify it on Companies House, cos I was convinced he was trying to scam me. No surprise, he just hung up straight away.

A guy from an Indian call centre rang me, said his name was Alex and that he was from something called MIC. When I asked what MIC stood for, he said Motor Insurance Claims. He was asking if I’d made a claim about a small car crash I’d had not long ago. I asked him for the date of the accident and my car's reg number, but he said he didn’t have any of my personal info. I then asked how he even got my phone number if he didn’t have those details, and he just dropped the call.

this bloke from india kept going on about me being in a car accident recently, but i kept telling him i never had one. he just wouldn't believe me and insisted i’d been in a crash in the past three years, which i obviously didn't remember. i joked that maybe i had amnesia from the crash and asked him to fill me in on the details from his side. after a pause, he just hung up. a few days later he called again and the whole thing started all over. quite the weird chat!
