Loads of spam calls lately. I usually ignore calls if the number's hidden or not saved in my contacts. If it’s something really important or legit, they’ll leave me a voicemail for sure, then I can ring back.

These sorts of calls are just so irritating! There should really be some laws against them. It's about time the phone companies took more responsibility for this mess.

Got a call earlier, the person had a weird accent and the line was really bad. They mentioned something about Citizens Advice Bureau and some unpaid debt. I just ended the call straight away! Definitely a scam!

I don’t normally pick up random calls, but sometimes I’ll answer just to mess with the caller a little. This one said they were from Gladstone - seemed like they’d be watching too many adverts. They were on about some PPI claim linked to “Barclays or Halifax” or something, couldn’t even say which exactly (I've never had PPI with either, or anyone really). I kept the chat going for a bit, but when they asked for my address, I told them why would they need that? That’s when they quickly backed out.

Just got a call like this, and I’m sure I never had any PPI claims with this firm or anyone else. The caller tried to get me to do some sort of verification with him, but no way! With all the scam calls I get, I really don’t trust anyone anymore.

Just ended the call right away, another one of those scam calls.

Be careful if someone rings out of nowhere saying you’re due cash from a PPI claim. The deadline for most people to claim has already passed, and companies wouldn’t have submitted claims for you without telling you first. Don’t just trust their words straight away.

Didn’t get any response, they just ended the call - I’ve blocked the number now.
