20 daysI can back up what everyone else is saying here. Total con artists. At first, they seem genuine enough. Then they ask you to use a specific link for an HPI check. Won't let you use any other service apart from the one they provide. They might even say they'll pay for the check themselves. My advice? Don’t fall for it. Just block their number or like I did, keep them hanging and waste their time before reporting them.22 daysAt first, the chat seemed alright but then it quickly got clear they were just after my card info: “Maybe a bank transfer is the simplest option? Also, if you could share the history check from NRCscan.uk, that would be great. I'm putting my money into this and they only give checks to the owner.” Well, that site is a total scam and the second you enter your card details there, you’re done for! Stay well away from it.NRCscan. uk23 daysLike someone else mentioned - definitely a SCAM! I replied to a Facebook ad about a car, looked legit at first, but then they told me to download some car checking app. I’d never come across it before so I didn’t bother. Plus, it’s not the seller’s job to prove the car’s history, that’s on the buyer to sort out. Watch out for this number, really ought to be blocked.Facebook23 daysTotal con job, no doubt about it. They acted like they were keen on the car I put up on Marketplace, chatting all casual at first. Then when we got onto arranging a meetup and payment, suddenly they wanted me to install some HPI check app. Luckily, I wasn’t daft enough to fall for that trick. Ended up losing some dosh on a dodgy site anyway, so don’t waste your time with these muppets. Best to just ignore and give them the cold shoulder they deserve. Proper scummy, bottom-feeding scam artists.Submit Your Own Report (07414 252537)
