Pretty sure this was a credit check of some sort, sounds like a lot of people here had the same thing happen. Nothing else sketchy, just trying to verify something I guess.

So, this bloke says his name with a thick Indian accent, right? Then I go, "Alright mate, how do you spell Matthew?" When I asked, he just kinda paused like he was trying to come up with something, but I could tell he was just fobbing me off. Proper dodgy if you ask me.

This number has called me a few times now, but each time, as soon as I pick up, the person just ends the call straight away.

So when they say their name with a thick Indian accent, try asking them 'How do you spell that, Matthew?' I gave it a go like he told me, and right away he hesitated, clearly trying to buy time which was total rubbish.
