Got a call from a bloke with a thick accent about my life insurance. I made up that I was just 14 and still lived with my mum. He goes, “14? That’s actually a prime age for me.” I asked what he meant by that, and he sniggered, saying, “If you’ve got to ask, you’re a daft girl.” When I told him to say it again, he just hung up. It gave me the creeps. Definitely going to report this one and have blocked the number already.

Any call coming from a number beginning with 0741 is usually a sham. The caller ID they show is often faked to mask who they really are. Honestly, it’s safer not to pick up those calls at all.

What a total scam call. Told the bloke not to ring me again and he just said, “What you gonna do about it?” And then, would you believe it, he’s phoned me twice more in just three minutes. Ridiculous!

Got a call earlier from some bloke with a funny accent, saying I owed cash on a loan from like 2008 to 2013 or something. I asked him what loan he was on about, told him to just post me a cheque if I was meant to get money, then told him to leave me alone. He ended up hanging up on me. Proper creepy that he had my full name and address, though.
