Received two calls on my home phone, and all I encountered was complete silence.

It seems I've received an alarming notification that my Amazon Prime subscription will be charged £79.95. The troubling thing is, I don't even possess an Amazon account! This number definitely feels suspect, likely part of some scam effort.

Received a message claiming my Amazon account was due for renewal??? Definitely a scam! They wanted me to press 1 to chat with a manager. Yeah, right! Not falling for that trick!

I received an automated call that was masquerading as Amazon Prime, claiming a hefty £39.99 had been deducted from my account and instructed me to press 1 if I wished to cancel my subscription. I was then connected to an operator with an Indian accent, and I explained to her that I don’t even utilise Amazon Prime. To my surprise, she just hung up on me. Quite impolite, I must say. Upon checking my bank account, I found no deductions whatsoever. I’ll be reaching out to Amazon to inform them about this.

Received a couple of calls on my landline in just under an hour. It was a pre-recorded message claiming to be from Amazon, stating that they were about to take money from my account. Now, I know for a fact that Amazon doesn’t operate that way, especially since I only use my mobile number for any dealings with them. This is surely a scam!

I've been receiving persistent calls on my landline from someone claiming to be Amazon Prime customer support. The chap on the other end, who seems to be Indian, was rather impolite when I inquired about the reason for their calls. Quite baffling, really!

I tried reaching out again, but it seems there’s no one available online. When I rang back, the number didn’t seem to be valid. Quite odd!

I suspect it could have been a call from the support crew of one of the contenders in the Labour Party leadership race. Admittedly, that’s just a hunch of mine. Since I’m on the list for Labour backers, I’ve noticed that every candidate is putting in a real effort to rally up some backing.
