Someone pretending to be from Amazon contacted me, acting like they knew loads about me and my account. I ended the call quickly because I was in the middle of something, and the caller sounded a bit annoyed but promised to ring me back. Just before I hung up, they told me to log into my account, which I didn’t do. Later, I phoned Amazon directly and was told they don’t make calls, only send emails. So it was a scam. When I checked my account, there were 16 items added to my basket with a total cost of £3,000!
