Somebody called me asking for a donation to help protect our rivers from pollution, said it was for a charity.

Got a call from some bloke earlier, he was all friendly asking how I was before going on about a magazine to raise money for some kids' charity. It seemed a bit dodgy so I told him I wasn’t interested and he just ended the call. I looked into the charity, they’re from Wilmslow and admit they do get businesses to advertise in their mags, but they couldn’t say who might've been phoning me. Could be genuine but I’d say be careful!

I've gotten calls from the same bloke now three times, claiming he's with some charity called Smile, saying they're reaching out to local firms in Bradford, West Yorkshire to collect donations. He mentioned they’re aiming to gather about £250,000 and wanted me to pay for an advert in their magazine. The moment I told him I wasn’t interested, he abruptly said 'alright' and ended the call right away.

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise. No idea who it was.

No idea who this is. They've been ringing me loads over the last few weeks but never bother to leave a message. I'm just gonna block the number and ignore it. If it was really something urgent, surely they would've left a voicemail already.

I got a call from Infinity Renewables, but as soon as I picked up, there was an automated message saying ‘no advisors are available right now’. I just ended the call and blocked their number straight away.
