Today, 29/01/2024, some people showed up at our bungalow. My wife was home alone while I was out at work. They claimed they had been fixing the roof next door and spotted some loose ridge tiles on our house that needed fixing quickly before the next storm or rain came. Even though my wife couldn't really see any damage, they convinced her to go ahead with the repairs. They then charged a whopping £1500 for replacing just 6 ridge tiles. Thankfully, she paid by cheque, so she'll be cancelling it first thing tomorrow.
