So, I got contacted on WhatsApp by someone called Langton Janice, using the number 07407149497. They supposedly live somewhere in regional Victoria and wanted me to send stuff from my place in Brisbane via courier. Smelled fishy to me, looked like a typical Gumtree scam. Definitely dodgy behaviour.

Just wanted to warn everyone about a scammer buyer I came across. She told me she’d sent a courier to pick up an item I’m selling, but said she would only pay after the item was delivered. Ive seen this trick loads of times and knew right away it was dodgy, but I worry some folks might get caught out. The name she gave was ‘Langton Janice’ and the number she messaged me from was 07407149497. Watch out for this one!
