Got a call from an Indian guy with really fast, kinda broken English. Said my PPI payout was all set from the government. I asked, “Oh that’s brilliant, how much is it then?” and he just snapped back “F##k off” and hung up on me. Lovely! Haha

Oh right, my call was a bit different from what others described. It was a recorded bloke with an English accent saying stuff like, “Fancy losing some weight?” and “Have you tried but put it back on?” then it told me to “Press 1”. Quite odd!

Got a call from some bloke with an Indian accent, said his name was James Harrison! Yeah right, and I’m supposed to be Luke Skywalker or something! Asked him who he was calling about, he said some sort of claim advisory group. Asked again since he said I was gonna get £4,500 but needed details for sending the cheque. Told him I wasn’t happy with this at all, and then he just told me to hang up! Tried calling back the mobile number, but it showed up as “not recognised.” Blocked it straight away, no way I’m falling for that.

Got a call from someone saying they were with the claims advisory service about a ppi claim I supposedly won. They gave me a figure and a ref number. Thing is, I never reached out to them, so it feels really dodgy. Sounded like a proper scam to me. Also, the caller had a really strong Indian accent.

Got a call from an Asian bloke claiming to be from Claims Advisory Group - he asked me for a number to ring back as I reckoned it was dodgy. He gave me 0161 974 5976 - so I called it back just to see, and some other Asian guy picked up just saying "hello" with no company name!! Straight away that was a dead giveaway it was fake.

Got a really pushy bloke with an Asian accent ringing me. Asked simple stuff like my name and mobile, answers were obvious but he acted like I wasn't giving him the right info. When I told him to take me off their list, he just wouldn't listen, saying it wasn't good for me. I told him again to remove my details but he kept going on, so I just hung up. Saved the number as "Won't Delete Info" to see if he'd call back. Sure enough, he rang again about a month later. Now he’s blocked for good.

Got a call about a PPI claim from way back in 2011, and they wanted me to note some stuff down. Feels a bit unlikely that it's taken this long to sort out, so I ended the call. 7 years is ages! Their admin definitely needs a proper sort out.
