Got a call from PPI Scotland asking for my bank details, which instantly set off warning bells. Didn't trust it so I just blocked the number straight away.

Someone called me about my PPI being sorted out and the caller said they were from Black Horse Finance when I asked. They knew my name and even asked me to verify my postcode, which they already had. They said the payout would come through a bank transfer. I put the phone on loudspeaker and they complained they couldn’t hear me properly. I played along for a bit until they finally gave up and hung up. I’ve never actually claimed PPI before, so I knew straight away it was a scam.

Got a call saying my PPI claim was all sorted (came up as Black Horse Finance when I asked). The caller already knew my name and asked me to double check my postcode, which he had correct. Said the money would go straight into my account. I put the phone on speaker and he said I wasn’t coming through clear. I played along for a bit before they just dropped the call. Never put in a PPI claim before so I knew straight away it was dodgy.
