I got a call the other day saying there was a suspicious £900 charge on my VISA card and they told me to press one to stop it. Problem is, I don’t even have a VISA card so I just hung up straight away. This isn’t the first time I’ve had calls about dodgy bank transactions. I keep wondering why they want me to press one - does that somehow let them get into my phone or do something dodgy? Seems fishy to me.

I picked up the phone and heard a message saying it was the fraud squad calling, telling me £800 had been withdrawn from my bank for online gambling overseas. They said the transaction was paused and that I should hit 1 to cancel it. Definitely a scam trying to trick people.
