Got a text saying: “LLOYDS: You’ve set up a direct debit of £499.78 to Kris Construction LTD which will be taken on 09/05/26. If you didn’t authorise this, please ring 020 3190 8701.” Pretty clear scam to me. They want you to call that number, probably to trick you into giving your bank details to ‘stop’ the payment or something along those lines. It’s suspicious that the message came from a mobile but they ask you to ring a landline number back - classic scammer behaviour. Honestly, I wish someone would just ban these dodgy texts completely.

Got a call from someone claiming to be my bank, which I don’t even have an account with, asking for my bank details. Definitely a scam.
