Had a bloke with a thick Eastern European accent ring me up asking why I hadn’t followed up on profits from some investments I'd apparently made. I told him I hadn’t invested a single penny, but he kept insisting I was lying. When I asked which company I was meant to have invested with, he couldn’t give me an answer. I mentioned I get calls like this a few times a week and asked if he could remove me from their list. Then he reckoned I was just making excuses to hang up and keep the (imaginary) money for myself. I just thanked him for the call and ended it there.
