GOVUK: Looks like you qualify for a £400 energy discount to help with bills this winter. To get it, just go to: https://claim-energy-support-gov.info. ... Honestly, as soon as I saw it come from a mobile number and with the government nowadays, I had a feeling it was dodgy! Too good to be true, I reckon.

Hey, they tried to drop my package yesterday morning around 7:54 but no luck. Now I gotta set up another delivery time through this link: https://postoffice-track-parcel.com. Bit annoying but oh well.

+447402238834 : Got a text early Sunday morning, about quarter to four, saying it’s from my kid who just switched to O2 and this is their new number now. They asked me to ping them on WhatsApp at +447402238834. Obviously, it felt like a scam.

Got a call from +44 7542 344336, claiming to be from some government heating aid for disabled folks. Really got me anxious coz I’ve got a bad brain injury. They sent a link which I opened but turns out it’s not a legit website at all. Luckily I have Norton installed so I’m hoping I’m safe. Definitely shady!

+44 7542 373758 Just got a call saying I qualify for some sort of energy bill discount through the Energy Bills Support Scheme. They sent me a link to apply which was: https://energy.bill-rebate.com. Not sure if it's legit or just another scam messing about with energy rebates. Would be careful if anyone else gets this!

They call you super early, like 4 in the morning, with some message, trying to catch you off-guard. The number looks like it might be from the government, but if you try calling it back, it’s actually got an 02 area code, so definitely not .gov. Honestly feels like they’re just out to trick people hoping for some official money. Really annoying!

I got some messages about qualifying for help with my energy bills, and the website they sent looked legit, like it was from the government. Just like everyone else, the caller said their mum had switched to O2 and then rambled on about owing cash to someone who was after it. They mentioned maybe using a loan shark, but I’ve read some pretty awful stuff about those. Felt like a classic scam trying to squeeze money out of me.

I received a message from the number 44 7543 567 836. The text went something like this: "Hey Mum, I've just switched to O2, so here’s my new number, alright? Text me on WhatsApp when you see this at +447402238834, please xxx." I checked with my kids if they’d changed their numbers, and they all assured me they hadn't. They said, “Mum, it sounds dodgy!” So I’m urging everyone out there: this message isn't genuine. Steer clear of contacting or responding in any way. It's likely just a scammer trying to pull a fast one. Please do take the precaution to report, block, and keep your distance!
