I got a text on my phone asking if I’d bought something on my credit card for £0.00, with the card details that looked legit. They said my bank was holding the transaction until I confirmed if it was real. They wanted me to reply ‘yes’ or ‘no’. I replied ‘no’ and then received another message from a number starting 07401 243963 telling me to ring 0345 6076500. It all felt a bit dodgy, so I decided to check it out here.
